Consortium: The Master Edition – классическая ролевая игра. Это не значит, что придётся носиться с булавой наперевес, нет. Нужно отыгрывать роль, что гораздо сложней. Так, согласно задумке авторов, игрок из нашего измерения переносится в виртуальное будущее, и попадает на космический корабль «ЗЕНЛИЛ». Здесь никто не знает о реальном происхождении протагониста, да и не до него им сейчас. На борту произошло убийство, и Слон 6, управление которым поручается геймеру, начинает расследование.
Обзор осуществляется от первого лица. Пользователь общается с другими обитателями крейсера, знакомится с лором и принимает решения, способные в корне изменить последующую канву и финал истории. Длительность сессии может составлять от 4 до 12 часов, в зависимости от того, насколько серьёзно подходить к делу. Стрелять практически не придётся, хотя у главного героя также есть недоброжелатели. Впрочем, никто не мешает устроить кровавую резню, если так хочется. Разработчики со знанием дела подошли к наполнению, и даже после 5-6 прохождения можно будет узнать что-то новое о вымышленной вселенной.
Картинку нельзя назвать некст-геном, но она выполнена достойно и кропотливо. Проект построен на знаменитом Source, накладывающем некоторые ограничения. Однако графика – не самое важное. Все, даже самые незначительные NPC профессионально озвучены, обладают своими чертами характера и особенностями, которые очень приятно изучать.
